In the previous Blog, I told you about my serendipitous occurrence – the small “tip” I received
that got me “sold” on the Law of Attraction (LOA). Among other things, I gave you a hint:
expect serendipitous events in your life at anytime – all the time. I’ll explain the “serendipity”
phenomenon in depth in a future Blog. If you wish, you can research the topic yourself. Either
way, you can make serendipity an integral part of your daily life.
Today, my Blog is about my friend and teacher – the biblical mystic prophet – HabakkuK.
I met HabakkuK during my study of the LOA. While I was studying, a thought occurred to me.
If the LOA is as pervasive in our lives as I believed it to be, then it must have been recognized
during biblical times. Hence, we should be able to find clues to it in the Holy Bible. The wise
authors and editors had – to note this phenomenon at their era – starting some 28 centuries ago.
Studying the Holy Bible is of interest to me. I own different editions of the Bible. I consider the
Bible to be a repository of human experiences and human wisdom (as well as human foibles).
I embarked on a systematic search of the Key Concepts of the LOA in Bible. Not surprising, I
found many leads to the LOA and its Key Concepts. Most are fragmentary. Some express the
LOA as it is defined: “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he”. (Proverbs 23:7).
It was just a matter of time before I ran into the book of HabakkuK. To my surprise, this little
known “minor prophet” has in his small book a prescription for the best practice of the Law of
Attraction that is functional, practical, and valid today as it was first written, around 609-598 BC.
Go read it: Habakkuk 2:1-4. Note: these four biblical verses are best understood with the help
of some commentary.
I was excited. I collated my findings and notes to that date and wrote a book, which I
titled: “The Vision of HabakkuK”. The book is in the printing process and published by
Intermedia Publishing Group, Phoenix AZ. As my insights evolved, I was led to write an
expanded volume.
The LOA today remains as it was in biblical times. It is universal, non-discriminating and hasn’t
changed since human beings acquired their capacity to think. It is every person’s individual
decision to accept and live in alignment with the LOA or to ignore the idea. No matter what
the personal attitude is – the LOA remains in effect. No person can be convinced or forced
into incorporating the Key Concepts of the LOA into one’s life. This is a matter of personal
conviction.
As always, you are welcome to post your comments in the space provided.
